The Tri Cities of Washington state is fast growing and connects Kennewick, Pasco, Richland and surrounding communities.
The Tri Cities are quickly growing with brand new developments and neighborhoods. New shopping continues to be added and plans for more shopping and commercial developments are in the works for the near future. Several manufacturers and warehouses are planned for the coming years. This Tri Cities community is located right next to the Red Mountain AVA and more than a few dozen different wineries from Prosser to Walla Walla. The Tri Cities has become a magnet for retirees from all over the United States because of its moderate climate and active culture. There is a vibrant music and theater scene. The science and engineering jobs have attracted people from all over the world so that the demographics is very diverse with a strong hispanic culture. Restaurants representing many different cultures are available throughout the area as well as fine dining establishments.
There are many golf courses in and around Benton and Franklin counties. And the three rivers of Columbia, Snake and Yakima offer many opportunities for fishing, boating and water sports. Outdoor sports is a vital part of the culture: fishing, bird hunting, game hunting, hiking, biking, camping, and boating among other things. There are several large sports complexes that host adult and youth sports activities. Plus, the Tri Cities enjoys its only minor league hockey team, baseball team and arena football team.
